For doling out lessons in humility, I’ll take the Shecky Greene alien over the Leonidas alien all day long even if I never get the joke. Maybe those who might be reaching for the nukes will. And totally unrelated, that reminds me of a next level Shecky Greene joke about how Frank Sinatra saved his life: Sinatra was pissed off at Shecky for a remark he’d made and had some goons beat him up. Some ways into the beating, Sinatra said, “OK. He’s had enough.”

Our time here is brief. We laugh, we cry, we feel everything in between. Sometimes we actually make that choice. Sometimes it takes years for us to get the punchline, even if we're paying attention.

Well put. And it’s all good clean fun when we remember it’s just a distraction from the gaping maw of eternity.

The degree of absurdity of some UFO cases *might* be an indication of the diversity of alien cultures and varying levels of technology, or even of 'evolved' AI cultures.

(It certainly appears to rule out a single source or agendum e.g. potential invaders from Mars .)

It may also provide a glimpse of our own future; one where we'd suffer significant culture shock if deposited there for any length of time.

Then you add apparent psi effects and we're potentially faced with numerous unknown factors, all of which may be the product of beings with equal or greater intelligence than ourselves and from civilisations that are far, far older. This isn't even like trying to figure out Havana Syndrome; ufology is a field of an entirely different scale and complexity, whatever direction you come at it from.

For neutrino detection. In other parts of the world they use deep mines. For example:

The Sudbury Neutrino Observatory is located over 2 kilometres underground in a nickel mine in Ontario, Canada.
