Here I thought Devoid was void - but nice to discover you again Billy since 2021.

Well, no check needed - I should send you one - and to think all this UFO/UAP noise popped up right when you were dropped! 50 years into this topic and it’s still spinning.....

Really enjoyed reading this, as always. Find you to be an astute observer and investigator with a gift for expression. I especially like how you walk from one point to the other, marshalling the volume of evidence rather than belaboring one point.

With the value of several weeks' hindsight, I would answer yes, the NASA effort is worthwhile even if Grusch's revelations are confirmed. Having been told that brevity is my friend (even though I've never met her), I will just list some reasons without elaboration. (a) There is no telling whether the phenomenon is one thing or many. Is the craft in the hanger the same ones we are seeing in the air, space, or ocean? (b) Even with static craft able to be put under the microscope, it is necessary to study how they work and function. (c) There's a big learning curve with this topic -- gathering a group of very capable scientists on this panel kickstarts the process of legitimacy, they begin getting up to speed, take some ownership of the issue, and start paying closer attention. Their associates and students start paying attention. The scientific acknowledgement that something is out there will not be the end, but the beginning of the effort needed to understand the phenomenon.

Totally agree. NASA should continue its research, as should Avi Loeb, Enigma Labs, take your pick. This is an all-hands-on-deck moment. Just saying the sooner we address Grusch allegations, the better. What we may (or may not) learn will float all boats. If this turns out to be another distraction, we need to dispense with it ASAP.

I thought Semeter and Kelly were effectively doing disinformation. Semeter's analysis lacked any subtlety (GoFast is still officially unknown) and he contributed nothing after. He sat down well though. Kelly hadn't done any homework on other astronauts statements on UFOs (e.g. the great Edgar Mitchell?) and it was Bart Simpson and the ISS from him! Nothing after. Was it organised? OTOH the women were great.

After a day to process, I'm now more inclined to believe this is just a new version of old disinformation. This latest shtick is just so brazen, the Gov trotting out a former high-ranker with apparent creds to lay it on thick and create a news cycle (of all things!). We saw an earlier, more staid version when the Navy went public with its patents of woo technology. This latest is a kind of doubling-down and showing the believer community who's still the boss, while simultaneously sticking it to the Chinese and Russians. I don't know if all of the machinations qualify as three-dimensional chess, but it's got Spock exclaiming "fascinating."

Exactly. John Greenwald essentially saying the same thing here. He does a very good job at pointing out the gaping holes in this latest "revelation".

I would be much more brutally direct than Greenwald, and clearly say that it's just another layer of this PsyOp.

Great article, again. I would just note that clearance from DOPSR just means that he isn't publicly sharing any classified information that he shouldn't be. It's not necessarily an endorsement of what he's saying. That said, I look forward to seeing where this goes... 🙂

Good point. Btw, have you listened to the latest Zabel/Coulthart podcast? Ross calls WaPo and NYT "gutless cowards." Great stuff.

Yes, I just heard it! 👍

After reading the Pentagons statement, they still seem to back up ARRO's previous conclusions at least for now. However the next ARRO report could see a change if David Grusch is telling the truth. But without any real specific documentation, which has been pointed out as being classified, it maybe hard to sell everyone on David's claims. In any case, it would seem that Dr. Sean Kirkpatrick is in vice or was just part of the plan. It does seem that ARRO was left out of the picture for reasons that maybe addressed in the future.

I don't think AARO and David Grusch inhabit the same plane of reality. They're like matter and antimatter.

Definitely a must-listen.

And now it seems that Congress is definitely going to have a hearing. Just what kind of investigative powers do they have? Could they persuade the President to use his authority as C in C to physically seek out the materials squirreled away by the Pentagon? And/or would it be a matter for the FBI to investigate the named aerospace companies?

I wonder how much of this that Dr. Garry Nolan knew? Seems like he was fairly up front about the 100% part and not sure he would have made that statement without knowing to some extent of Grusch's testimony. Does look like there was some kind of plan and roll out here that may have been planned but moved up a bit. You kind of wonder who was all in on this, though its David Grusch who is going to take the heat for the most part. I am sure that all other MSM will be scrambling to come up with their take on the story and how they would proceed. That goes for the politicians too. It will be a joy to watch! But I have a feeling this will take sometime be under microscope so to speak. To much at stake otherwise.

Billy, I really appreciate your use of language. One of my favorites statements from your article:

"Like so many others on the panel, Simons Foundation president David Spergel extolled the virtues of NASA’s use of unclassified data going forward. “UAP are often classified,” he stated, “primarily because of how the data is collected, not because of what’s in the data.” Strange, then, how the Pentagon, without jeopardizing national security, managed to scrub classified data from its footage of a Russian jet fighter attacking a U.S. drone back in March, as well as from the sequence of a Chinese jet intercepting an American plane just last week. Guess it all depends on the agenda."

Well, Robert, you pointed that out years ago when Customs and Border Protection released footage from their routine drug runner chases, only to deny FOIA requests for the unredacted Aguadilla sequence. Their tolerance is clearly arbitrary.

I'm surprised so many readers, here and elsewhere, believe the Grusch reveal is all a disinfo ploy, and that maybe this all has to do with the biggest, craziest psyops project of all time. And why not? We've all developed a jaundiced eye after all the years of blather, enough to consider this circus has four rings.

Now's the time to release that F-18 photo of the flying triangle leaving the ocean. If Elizondo/Mellon is to be believed that such a thing exists. C'mon, just a little leak, just a little one.

If it exists, I'd be surprised if Kirkpatrick has seen it. Otherwise, the man is being dishonest and needs to go.
