The New Republic ran a story punching some holes in those trying to bring about Disclosure. Here's the link: https://newrepublic.com/article/162457/government-embrace-ufos-bad-science

I can't say that I didn't find Hal's Scientology connection concerning....

That's a red herring. Covalito's just the latest Phil Klass, with a little less condescension and a lot more anger. He will grow more shrill as his belief system gets more marginalized.

I looked him up and he seems like a snotty, little jerk. You hit the nail on the head with the anger observation. He's full of rage.

I'm saddened to see you hop aboard the denialist's train. I might be wrong, but I think events themselves will condemn this view to the dustbin.

I'm not on that train and I'm very far from the station. I'm just concerned that the pushback has picked up steam and now some commentators will begin scouring the past of anyone of note involved in the issue in an attempt to derail the process. But I will admit some of Hal's background would/will raise eyebrows. Mr. Cruise hasn't done anything to clean up Scientology's bad press!

We are indeed in interesting times. There will be efforts to hide much of what is known. IMO though the Phenomena controls how and when the Big Reveal, if there ever is one, will occur. I don't buy the ET scenario, as I said before in DeVoid there's just too much weirdness surrounding this issue.

"They're coming to us," sayeth Mr. Powell. No better statement could illustrate the intractable willful ignorance mainstream science and academia continue to sustain concerning the Phenomenon - shackling those in the ranks who have a broader view. As long as this obtains, Mr. Powell, more will come. ( Halooo Friedman!)

I keep hoping that the 84th RADES keeps a long term copy of the radar data for past UAP events.

Given the likelihood of our air defenses being routinely violated, I do wonder if at some level, decisions have been made to destroy the evidence to conceal the true extent of it.

That takes us into a whole other area of investigation: How does 'MJ-12' gather information in order to take action when necessary. (How did AATIP garner UAP reports for that matter.) Or is it a case that all data are kept for a limited time then automatically deleted or overwritten. Mellon always said that NORAD kept records of unknowns, perhaps that needs looking at more closely in combination with sighting reports.
